Marilyn F. Pavuk

Marilyn Faye Pavuk, beloved of the Lord, was called home to meet her Savior face to face on Friday, July 13, 2012 after a four year battle with cancer. She was born on February 16, 1951 to Joseph and Phyllis (Ries) Gracyk in Toledo, Ohio.  She graduated from Start High School in 1969. Marilyn worked at Owens-Illinois in Toledo, retiring in 2007 after 35 years.  Marilyn deeply loved and was very proud of her daughters and their husbands.  She eagerly anticipated the upcoming birth of her first grandchild. She also loved sunny beaches, spending family vacations from Traverse City to Florida, and especially Bay Point in Marblehead, Ohio.   Her passion was sharing the joy she found in Jesus with anyone who crossed her path.  She crocheted numerous afghans, baby blankets, hats, and scarves for her wide circle of family and friends, and created cherished cross-stitch Scripture pieces.   She will be remembered for her gentle and compassionate spirit.  She was an inspiration to and deeply loved by her family and many friends. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 35 years, Edward, daughters Sandra (Brian) Schick, Stephanie (Tony) Ferrara, her sister Shirley Mauder, and her brother Jim (Tina) Gracyk, and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister Sandra, and her brother-in-law Thomas Mauder. The family wishes to thank Dr. Shaikh and the nurses at the Toledo Clinic, and Dr. Kielhorn and the nurses at Flower Hospital/Hickman Radiology for their care, concern, and many kindnesses.  Memorials in Marilyn’s honor may be given in Bethlehem Lutheran Church or Compassion International.  Family and friends may visit at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Rd. from 3pm-8pm on Tuesday July 17. 2012  Funeral Services will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 106 W. Plumer St., Toledo at 10am Wednesday July 18, 2012 with Pastor Douglas Haryu presiding.  Interment will follow at Union Hill Cemetery in Bowling Green.
